Gold Rush Brides

El Dorado beckons them
where every mouth's a movie star mouth
filled with whitest gold

and every cheek is perennially soft
kept that way by overdraft
from getting withered and old.

Bright careers perch lofty on
ledges of catapult breasts
crafted from silicone.

HEPA air is heaven, bottled water's divine
and everyone's wings get featherier
from frequent miles they've flown.

The eager brides from far off lands
dream of Prince Charming
on every corner

of sticking in their fingers,
a veil for a prize,
and winning like Little Jack Horner.

They stream to a sugar daddy,
in a harbor, dressed in drag
who promises them everything.

Already they've been had.
