A Note from the Editors
My dedication for this issue is more of a toast. Here's to writers and
readers, to inspiration and exploration, to journeys of the globe and the
mind, to words, to poems, to stories. And finally, to every person who
dares to write and share their words, and every person who supports those
journeys, my cyber-glass is raised to you. ~~ Diane M. Schuller
Editor Marie Eyre writes, "What an adventure I've had! I will never forget this first trek into the world of 'Co-Editor'! I would like to thank Diane Schuller for pedaling faithfully and surely beside me. What a marvelous guide and riding companion! I send my gratitude to 'The lady of The Hats', Barbara Benepe, for allowing me to ride her glorious trike! As for this upcoming issue, I am beside myself with excitement! I can barely wait for all to see this wonderful collection of literary treasures. From the roots of imagination, the knots of interactive thought, and the interlocking rings of mind and matter, we present, The Green Tricycle ... The Trike Returns!"
Editor Diane M. Schuller sends the following note:
Let the bells ring and the banners fly! The Green Tricycle has returned! The cyber-streets will never be the same now that the trike is pedaling for your reading pleasure.
When I think about a tricycle, it conjures up images of fun, exploration, discoveries, and journeys. The selections chosen for this issue touch upon those aspects and more. The interpretations for Ring, Knot, and Root by our writers range from some of what you might expect and others stretch the limits and perceptions -- all are outstanding.
Working together with Marie Eyre has been an enriching experience for me. We have come up with a wide-ranging variety, ensuring that we do not 'fit any mold' but rather have made quality selections to cover everything from genre, literary, fable, humor, and experimental -- something for everyone.
This issue features authors from around the globe, a talented eighteen-year-old, award winners, and up-and-coming newcomers. If I have anything at all to ask of you, it is that when you read some of these creative offerings, please send a short note of appreciation to the author, through their e-mail link in their bio -- that's the only 'payment' they will receive. Now, pedal on in and enjoy the quality writing The Green Tricycle features!
Spread the word! The Green Tricycle is pedaling furiously ...
And Marie concludes with this tribute to creativity, "I raise my cyber-glass, as well, to all who package the light of their infinite imaginations in words and shapes, and to all who seek to explore these containers of enlightenment -- no matter the design."
