The Exile

Meteor -- the crater unfurls your ghost
that sang tremors to the vanishing points
to shock-melt the missing puzzle of Time,
that velocity of repossession.
Now the visitors pass through the turnstile...

They come, lives symmetrically planted. But
you came here like anger in chain mail
from unlit depths of journeys without end.
We glance up -- as if to retrace the path
where your near-miss is forever near.
