minibar

salt

i feed on the salt
open sea recharges my heart
like a battery
why not
are we really so different
you and i
both electric
chemicals
either charged or dead
on the field

when i am forced to live
far from the water like this
i suffer - drained
a stupefying death
land locked lovers would not appreciate
my favorite places are as much a part of the sea
as they are a part of man
the cape, monterey, tortolla
my heart, soul and passion
respectively

as i sit here locked away in land
i have calendars of those places on my wall
they act as mini ion guns
that recharge

i will go back to the ocean one day
it isn't important when
i'm learning not to care about that
best to live now you know
while keeping charged
by all the things you love
