Hunan One

Wok-woman
set the timer
chop pink shrimp,
it's dining time
(on glass table,
straw mats)...
Chinese food
is the only way to go
even though there's
not enough to it,
one's taste buds are eased
quite nicely.
Vases rest on
stereo speaker
they are from China-
with swirls of deep color,
a precarious gift from Mother
May I, to ease tension
between two unusual women
(New York souls at heart.)
Their vibrant seeds disappeared
into autumn winds whip
forever one night-passion
spent searching for gold
on a silver coast.
