Stuck
The bulb is bare
in the bathroom ceiling;
when the fixture shattered,
I never got around to replacing it.
My face is moon white in the
glare as I rush to color it.
Morning stretches like a tunnel
before me. Only one way out
if you don't count going back
to bed.
I fear I'll get stuck halfway in--
hollering for help again.
