A Note from the Editor

Dear Trike-riders,

Here we are again, taking another spin around the block. The best thing about The Green Tricycle's block is that it encompasses the globe. We have a true mix in this issue contributed by friends here in America and around the world.

The themes of road, wing and toss inspired great contributions to Issue 16. A special thanks is sent to each author, and a general thank you to everyone who sent submissions. Each piece has unique merits. Here are a few tidbits to stir your interest. Meet a cat who wishes for a pair of wings, musings on Wally Schirra turning 81, a child's playing-possum study of a road trip, a classmate's ability to outsmart a bully, a saved snapping turtle and a satisfying meal for a very hungry hired girl.

Get your summer off to a great start. Put on your summer shorts, spoon up a triple-scoop ice cream cone, put a playing card in-between the spokes of your trike to make a little noise as you ride along reading all the great stories and poems in Issue 16. Have a great ride everyone.

Remember to invite your friends along as well, the more the merrier.
