A Note from the Editor

It is spring in the deep south. Azaleas are blooming. The mockingbird has his eye on the mahonia in the backyard, waiting for its berries to ripen. The cardinal has switched from its meager winter call to its lovelier mating song. In the next few weeks magnolias will open their large white flowers. There's comfort in the renewal of life, the repetition of springtime signals. What better way to enjoy spring than with Issue 15 of The Green Tricycle?

Issue 15 of The Green Tricycle, received hundreds of excellent submissions to the themes of rain, risk and whim. The stories and poems included in the issue are filled with surprises, some of which are healing, some serious, some elusive, and some are just plain fun.

The stories and poems in Issue 15 appeal to our sense of beauty and wonder. They examine life situations whether they are difficult or whimsical. Beauty is there in the everyday actions of friends, neighbors and strangers. So get ready to confront the world in all its subtle perfection. Celebrate spring by reading each piece of poetry and prose in Issue 15 of The Green Tricycle.

In addition to reading the issue please take time to read a recent review that The Green Tricycle received online. The review is of Issue 13, guest edited by Shawn M. Davis. It can be found archived at http://www.newpages.com/magazinestand/litmags/T Look alphabetically under G. We are pleased with this great review and thank NewPages.

On a whim invite your friends to read Issue 15, and ride as many times around the block as you like. May the beauty you find in this issue heal and delight you and leave you open to the small everyday pleasures of this world.
