The Definition of Cold, Cosmetically Speaking I try to unscramble the visual overload of boxes and bottles in every shape, size and color on the counters, shelves and racks of cosmetics lit up from overhead, under-counter and little spotlight lighting to find the one thing I'm looking for. A decent foundation. I think I've found it. "Underneath It All." Hmm... I want buff-ivory. The shades are categorized: "Fragile, Cold, Warm and Toasty." "Can I help you?" says the eagerly approaching cute sales woman of approximately twenty-one, display bottle propped in her hands. "I need some foundation. This looks good." It isn't that it actually looks "good"; it's simply the first item I was pretty certain I could identify as foundation. "This is a great line of product! These products speak to who we are and who we used to be, and it brings those two bodies together." Right. "Do you think I should get Warm or Cold?" "I'd love to give you a demonstration of the entire line." "No, thanks. I really just want to know the definition of Cold." "Okay. But first, let me ask you a question. Do you remember when you first
