A Note from the Editor

Issue 11 was a fun issue to collect. Writers from all around the block came together to contribute excellent works for the themes of sigh, iron and roam. Thanks to everyone who contributed the creative works that make this issue a great early spring read.

While I worked on the issue, I had a vision of all the stories taking place in the 'houses on the Green Trike's block.' Their adventures and visions are present in each work of this issue. There is a couple who will never win first place in any dance contest, a girl who needs to bring up her report card grades, a young boy learning that watermelon is for those who play fair, a mother waving her iron at the TV soap stars, and a girl and her father who look at history in terms of their family's personal heritage. These are just a few of the wide variety of creative stories and poems in Issue 11 for the readers to discover as they pedal around The Green Tricycle's block.

I want to thank our publisher, Barbara Benepe for her great guidance on this first Trike ride of mine as guest editor. She showed me how to get things pedaling at a manageable and very fun pace. She is definitely the girl to follow around the block.

So dear Green Trikers, enjoy the issue, visit often, tell your friends, and please sign the guestbook.
