Easter Vigil/Millbrook Mountain
The path
this time of year
is nothing less
than a stream bed
coated with moss/and slippery
from stone to stone
(thank God and Gortex)
cross
back and forth thru
bramble and heather
the stream bed is my direction
where now is my path?
Direction upslope
pitch pines and polished conglomerate
glacial striations
point nearly
north and south
trail markers the blue
of Mary's shawl
lead me
to the edge
of Millbrook Mountain
the peregrines
ride in God's hand
above the cliffs.
