It's a Matter of Balance ANDY: Hi, Barn. BARNEY: Oh, hi Ange. ANDY: What's that? BARNEY: It's a unicycle. I bought it at the auction over at old Elmer Raddiker's place. ANDY: You're pretty good. How do stay up on that thing? BARNEY: If I wasn't holding on to this beginner bar over my head, I'd be on the floor in a wisp of a second. ANDY: I guess that's right. But how do you get down? BARNEY: That's where you come in. Come here and hold on while I dismount. ANDY: Ok. It's a good thing I got here when I did. I was going to Floyd's for a hair cut. BARNEY: That's ok. Go ahead. I'll put old Elmer here away until lunch. ANDY: You're sure now? I don't want to come in here and see you sprawled out all over the
floor. BARNEY: Ok, 'bye. ANDY: Yeah, Barn. See ya. BARNEY: I've got it. Put two chairs out with Elmer in the middle. Then I can get on, grab the bar, practice and get off. I won't need Andy or anybody else. Oh, God. The chair legs are slipping. I'm doing the splits awful bad. Help, I'm going over. Ouch, groan, ohhhh... [Later.] ANDY: Hi, Barn. BARNEY: Oh, hi Ange. ANDY: What are you doing in that cell? BARNEY: I locked myself in. ANDY: You didn't hurt yourself, did you? BARNEY: Let me out Ange. I've got some paperwork to do. ~Otis Luce Retired from the technical aspects of industry, Otis contributes regularly to Cayuse Press publications. Email. © 1999 by Otis Luce. All Rights Reserved.
